The June Bug

The helicopter sound flooding her brain turned out to be the beating of a june bug's wings against the vibrating bones of her inner ear. Her husband finally extracted the bug with tweezers, but it was too late. The june bug had already laid its eggs in the soft wax coating of her ear canal.
